GW1000-DHPE
Datalink Ethernet TCP/IP to DH+

The DataLink GW1000-DHPE is a gateway between an Ethernet TCP/IP Network and AB’s DH+ Network. This cost-efficient solution extends the life of legacy Allen-Bradley PLC5 and SLC/04s by eliminating the need to upgrade each PLC with an Ethernet processor.

The GW1000 hardware is a multi-protocol gateway that can easily be converted to several protocols with a firmware change (ie. DF1, ASCII, Modbus, ModTCP, AB Ethernet or Ethernet/IP to multiple DH+/DH-485) all for $1,250 USD list.

You may wish to program via RSLINX (AB Ethernet driver) remotely over Ethernet with our GW1000-ABEIP firmware or switch to RSLINX (1770-KF2 driver) serial DF1 to DH+ using our GW1000-DHP1 firmware.

In Ethernet mode, the GW1000 has the ability to communicate with 5 Ethernet connections simultaneously to DH+ (ie. up to 5 RSLINX workstations, SLC 5/05, Compactlogix etc. connections) .

Digi Ethernet Chip & DF1 Driver: The GW1000-DHPE incorporates the Digi NS7520 Ethernet Chip on it’s board using the Digi’s Redirector software to create a tunnel over Ethernet TCP/IP for any existing serial com port DF1 driver. The beneifit of the GW1000 solution is that there isn’t any internal reformation of the serial DF1 protocol, thus eliminating a “BOTTLENECK” of an internal DF1 RS-232 link. The tunnelled packet is received by the GW1000 and directly formatted for DH+ transmission, and inversly, a DH+ received packet is immediately placed in an Ethernet TCP/IP packet for transmission to the Redirector software on the PC/HMI/MMI.

The DataLink GW1000 Controller enables users to run MMI applications or program/monitor PLCs & SLCs on a DH+ Network from an Ethernet LAN station. Tested applications include RSLinx,RSLogix,RSView, Wonderware, & Citect.
